Landscapes Without Water
This series of photographs documents the abundance of political signage located in farm country along the I-5 Freeway in California. The fraught relationship that farmers have with the government’s rules around water use highlights the state-wide history of so-called water wars. The importance of who gets water and what we grow or beautify is one of the most interesting parts of Landscape Architecture. These photographs allowed me to peer into one aspect of the water politics in my home state.
