Folding Topographies

The purpose of this project is to alter the public’s perception of water usage in Southern California specific to the Los Angeles River.

Further, the project uses the traditional art form of folding to create an architectural form that is rooted in meaning and beauty. A topographic map of the Los Angeles River was folded by a set logic to produce iterations of an architectural object. The final folded map would be adapted and relocated back into the site the map is located in.
